Gibbs Farm Fundraiser - 22nd March 2018

We are thrilled to announce that the Centre has been awarded up to 500 tickets to visit Gibbs Farm early next year. Set on the edge of the Kaipara Harbour, Gibbs Farm is home to an internationally renowned sculpture collection, many of which were site-specific commissions. They include works by Anish Kapoor, Andy Goldsworthy, Maya Lin, Len Lye, Richard Serra ... to name but a few! Alongside the sculptures there are animals including zebra, buffalo and giraffe making Gibbs Farm a fun and fabulous day out for all, young and old!

Our Open day will be on Thursday 22nd March from 10am-2pm. Tickets cost $85 per person (plus a booking fee of $3.60) and are available to purchase from Eventbrite (see link below). Under 2's are free. With your ticket there is the option to purchase a packed lunch from Eat My Lunch who, for each lunch bought, will provide a second lunch to a kiwi kid in need. Each lunch includes four items with a focus on delivering a delicious and nutritious lunch and the three options are:

  • Classic Lunch                   $12
  • Classic Vegetarian           $12
  • Classic Gluten Friendly   $15

We will not be running a Christmas raffle this year and encourage you to buy these tickets for friends and family as Christmas gifts. All proceeds from the day will go to the Centre.

Host an event

Our primary aim here at the Centre is make music therapy available to all in need, and to that end we subsidise the cost of all our sessions. We receive no statutory funding and therefore need to raise $750,000 each year to continue to keep the Centre, and all of our outreach and satellite programmes, running. We actively seek gifts and donations and welcome any fundraising events run on our behalf - we are extremely grateful for all donations, large or small!

Gigs, art shows, raffles, garage sales, mufti days, cakestalls, sponsored runs, swims and bike rides ... these are all great ways to have some fun and raise funds to assist the work we do here at the Raukatauri Music Therapy Centre. We have brochures, pull up banners, collection buckets and marketing materials we can provide for any event you would like to run and may also be able to provide an additional pair or two of hands to help.

So get your friends together, put your thinking caps on, and give Rachel or Jen a call on 09 360 0889 with any ideas you might have. It truly is appreciated!
