George has worked as a composer and independent artist for many years. Music has been a consoling and liberating force in life for as long as he can remember. George performs by himself as The Human Peeb and in bands, and produces and records music for himself and others. In 2018 he graduated from Victoria University with a BMus in Composition.
George completed his Master of Music Therapy through the New Zealand School of Music at Victoria University, Wellington in early 2022 and has transitioned to work as a Registered Music Therapist. During his studies, George worked on placement with children and adults with disabilities as well as on a children’s paediatric hospital ward. Since graduating, George has worked as a music therapist with The Little Musical Caravan with primary school aged children and at St John of God with adults with neuro-disabilities. His approach values diversity, playfulness and creative empowerment that is oriented towards a person’s authentic expression.
