Rachel Farrell

Having joined the Raukatauri whānau in July 2016, Rachel was thrilled to be named as General Manager in June 2023. During her time with Raukatauri she has witnessed, and enabled, significant expansion – from an Auckland based entity with six staff and 200 clients per week to present day, where the Trust works with almost 1,000 client per week across four regions with 22 staff. And in her spare time, Rachel completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting.

Prior to joining Raukatauri Rachel has enjoyed a varied career, all of which has put her in good stead for this role. Originally from the UK, Rachel gained a Bachelor of Music with Honours from The University of Hull. This led to roles in Orchestral Management in London managing tours worldwide. A shift to the marine industry saw Rachel work as a yacht captain in Europe before sailing to New Zealand, whereby she moved ashore, obtained citizenship and worked in marine-based project management roles.

A return to music was calling and sure enough Rachel found herself at Raukatauri. She is incredibly proud to be part of this dynamic, incredible team, and looks forward to utilising her skills and previous experience to lead the Trust in their next chapter.
